We hope you're getting excited about this Lone Star State's awesomeness!  Now, let's talk about something essential for your Texan adventure – getting your Texas driver's license and those iconic Texas tags for your ride.

Texas Driver's License:

  • Visit the DPS: Swing by your nearest Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) office.  Find one here.
  • Required Documents: Don't forget to bring your out-of-state driver's license, proof of identity, proof of Social Security, and proof of Texas residency.
  • Written Test: Depending on your driving history, you may need to take a written test.
  • Driving Test: If required, schedule your driving test. Study those Texas road signs!
  • Fees: Pay the required fees. You can check them here.

Texas Vehicle Registration:

  • Go to the County Tax Office: Visit your local county tax office. Find yours here.
  • Required Documents: Bring your vehicle's title, proof of insurance, inspection certificate, and your Texas driver's license.

Texas Toll Tags:

  • Create an Account: Visit the Texas Toll Tag website here and set up your account.
  • Choose Your Tag: Pick either a hard tag for your windshield or a sleek sticker tag.
  • Load Funds: Link your account to your credit card or bank and load it with funds.
  • Place Your Tag: Stick your tag where it belongs – hard tags on the windshield and sticker tags on the windshield or bumper.
  • Hit the Road: Cruise confidently on the toll roads, breezing through without the hassle of toll booths.
